Vymeros connects real people and businesses. These guidelines help you stay safe when meeting, paying and exchanging items.
Meet safely
- Meet in a public, well-lit place with cameras (bank lobby, café, police-station “safe zone”).
- Bring a friend for high-value items or vehicle inspections.
- Trust your instincts — walk away if a situation feels unsafe.
Inspect before paying
- Verify condition, serial numbers, IMEI, VIN and included accessories in person.
- Test power-on for electronics, vehicles and machinery.
- Confirm ownership documents (title, registration, invoices) when relevant.
Pay safely
- Prefer traceable payments (bank e-transfer, verified card, escrow when available).
- Do not pay in gift cards, wire transfers to strangers, or crypto to unverified wallets.
- Never send payment before inspecting the item in person or through a trusted verified process.
Swap safely
- Inspect both items carefully. Vymeros does not guarantee condition, authenticity, ownership or value.
- Use the built-in Swap flow so both parties can confirm completion.
- Take photos of items and receipts on exchange.
Protect your account
- Use a strong, unique password.
- Never share verification codes, one-time codes or passwords with anyone.
- Report phishing messages and impersonation.
Watch for red flags
- Prices far below market value with urgency (“must sell today”).
- Requests to move the conversation off Vymeros immediately.
- Unwillingness to meet in person or share basic verification.
- Payment methods you can’t easily reverse.
If something goes wrong
- Report the listing, user or conversation from within the app.
- Contact support with any evidence you have.
- For emergencies or crimes, contact local police first.
