Prohibited Items Policy

This is a plain-language draft for the Vymeros marketplace serving Canada and the United States. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and does not constitute legal advice. Vymeros will publish a reviewed version before a full commercial launch.

To protect users and comply with the law in Canada and the United States, the following items and categories may not be listed, sold, bought, swapped, promoted or negotiated on Vymeros. This list is not exhaustive; Vymeros may remove any listing at its discretion.

Illegal goods

  • Anything whose sale, possession or transport is illegal under federal, state, provincial, territorial or local law.

Stolen property

  • Items obtained through theft, fraud, unauthorized access or without the owner’s consent.

Counterfeit and infringing goods

  • Replica or fake branded goods, unauthorized copies, pirated software, media or documents.
  • Items that infringe trademarks, copyrights, patents or other intellectual-property rights.

Weapons

  • Firearms, ammunition, silencers, high-capacity magazines and firearm parts.
  • Explosives, blasting agents, fireworks (where restricted), and improvised weapons.
  • Regulated knives, tasers, stun guns, pepper spray and body armor where restricted by local law.

Controlled substances

  • Recreational drugs, cannabis (except where lawfully permitted and licensed), drug precursors and paraphernalia intended for illegal use.

Prescription drugs and medical devices

  • Prescription medications, vaccines, and controlled medical products.
  • Medical devices that require professional prescription, certification or authorization to sell.

Recalled or unsafe products

  • Items subject to a manufacturer or government safety recall in Canada or the United States.
  • Damaged safety equipment, tampered batteries, and items missing required safety labels or warnings.

Human remains and body parts

  • Human bodies, remains, blood, organs, tissues, hair (except lawfully obtained wigs and extensions) and reproductive material.

Live animals and protected wildlife

  • Live animals of any kind through the marketplace.
  • Products made from endangered or protected species, including ivory, coral, certain furs, feathers and taxidermy, regulated under CITES or local law.

Financial accounts and instruments

  • Bank accounts, credit cards, gift cards obtained through fraud, cryptocurrency wallets with stored balances, and negotiable financial instruments.
  • Securities, private company shares, loans and investment contracts (Vymeros is not a broker-dealer).

Personal data

  • Personal information about others, contact lists, government IDs, credentials, medical records or credit reports.

Adult content

  • Pornographic material, sexual services, and sexually explicit media.

Restricted medical, industrial and hazardous equipment

  • Equipment that requires licensing, calibration, or professional installation to use safely.
  • Hazardous chemicals, radioactive materials, asbestos, and industrial equipment sold without required disclosures.

Items prohibited by local law

  • Anything a specific province, state, territory or municipality prohibits or restricts (for example alcohol, tobacco, vaping, lottery products and second-hand goods that require special licensing).
